Objectives of the course

The main objective of the course is adequately mastered oral and written communication and its application in different language situations. It is also necessary to enable the acquisition of English language skills in the range of language and analytical skills required for law studies.

Acquired knowledge

Students are trained to independently use professional literature, write letters and CVs for various private and business situations, orally reproduce the topics covered, as well as to provide basic professional communication in English.

Content of the subject

The course deals with the following teaching units: mastering the basis of communication in English, mastering the writing of a cover letter, motivation letter, resume / CV, business letters and e-mails, getting acquainted with the concept of business interviewing, mastering the writing of meeting notes, mastering the basic rules for holding presentations / presentations in English, familiarizing students with the notion of intercultural communication.

Teaching methods and material mastering

Lectures, exercises, consultations, written examinations (colloquiums) individual student work (seminar and homework, papers, etc.), as well as group participation of students in the study of certain thematic units.
