Exchange of students, professors and realization of joint study programs with UMEF University of Geneva
After the initial phase of negotiations, a working meeting was held last week between the representatives of UMEF University of Geneva (https://en.umef-university.ch/umef-campus) and our Faculty, and specific forms of cooperation were agreed.
UMEF University implements numerous study programs in all three cycles of studies, and for our students the most interesting programs and courses are realized at the Faculty of Law of this University. Cooperation between our faculties will be realized through the exchange of students, the exchange of teaching staff and through the implementation of joint study programs that would result in a joint diploma that would be awarded to students who implement a joint study program.
The forthcoming cooperation between our educational institutions is based on the model “Swiss quality for local prices”. The essence of this model of cooperation is to enable our students to study at UMEF University in Geneva under the same price of schooling as they would pay at our Faculty. It should be noted that there is no tuition fee lower than CHF 20,000 at this university!
Cooperation with UMEF University in Geneva will have three phases. The realization of the phase that will enable our students to achieve ECTS credits and experience at UMEF University should start already in the academic year 2020-2021. The phase in which we should implement joint study programs and issue dual diplomas should begin in the next academic year.
Bearing in mind that this cooperation drastically increases the competitiveness of our students in the domestic and European labor market, its implementation will be a priority in the work of the Faculty of Law of PIM University.
