The objective of the subject is to introduce students with basic knowledge of European labor and social law, as well as a comparative and multidisciplinary approach in analyzing national solutions and European labor and social law.

Training students for independent and critical tracking of literature, in order to create and apply the rules of European labor law and to solve possible problems in its application.
Contemporary tendencies in the development of labor and social law in general. Basic rights at work. Development and basic principles of European labor legislation. Employment and flexible forms of employment. Health, safety and working conditions – minimum standards, health, safety and the principle of humanization of work. Protection at work, exercising and protection of labor rights. Introduction to European Social Law. Basic social rights and their protection. Secured risks and compulsory insurance actions in EU Member States. Protection and exercise of rights in the event of age, disability and death. Specific areas of employment. Universal and regional sources of labor law. European Social Charter – scope of application of the Social Charter to protected persons. Conventions and recommendations of the International Labor Organization. The relation of European labor law and labor law in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
