Objectives of the course

The aim of the professional practice is to provide the student with a direct insight into the legal practice by visiting and actively participating in the work of state bodies, institutions and business entities (courts, prosecutors’ offices, state administration bodies and local self-governments, enterprises and institutions).

Content of the subject

Introduction to the organization and structure of the institution, participation in the preparation of procedures and monitoring of procedures before state bodies and / or bodies of the institution, participation in the preparation of legal acts (general and individual), familiarization with the basic general acts of the institution, keeping a journal of work. After the professional practice, the student can expect to: 1) recognize and critically examine legal problems; 2) systematically approach the resolution of legal problems; 3) provide analytical and critical answers and solutions; 4) apply standards of legal ethics and legal professionalism; 5) establish a professional relationship and adequate communication in the work environment and in the wider environment; 6) uses legal resources and modern technology in everyday work.

Teaching methods and material mastering

Lectures, exercises, consultations, written examinations (colloquiums) individual student work (seminar and homework, papers, etc.), as well as group participation of students in the study of certain thematic units.
