The project was supported by the Ministry of Scientific and Technological Development, Higher Education and the Information Society of the Republic of Srpska. The authors of the monograph are PhD Veljko Turanjanin and PhD Aleksandar Ivanović, associate professors at the Faculty of Law in Lukavica.
The reviewers, academician professor Miodrag N. Simović, PhD, judge of the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina and a full professor at the Faculty of Law at the University of Banja Luka and Nevzet Veladžić, PhD, a full professor at the Faculty of Law at the University of Bihać, expressed their impressions, pointing out the scientific and practical significance of the monograph. During the promotion, the participants were able to get acquainted with the challenges that the authors encountered while writing the monograph. The authors presented the most important parts of the monograph, arousing the interest of the present scientific, professional and wider readership.
The monograph covers four human rights of the new generation: the principle of the best interests of the child in criminal proceedings; the right to freedom of expression on the Internet; the right to privacy on the Internet and the right to non-discriminatory access to education. The main goal was achieved and is reflected in providing an objective and qualitative assessment of the achieved level of protection of these human rights in the legal system of the Republic of Srpska, which provides legal solutions based on European Union standards and jurisprudence of the European Court of Human Rights. The monograph concludes that the Republic of Srpska would appropriately harmonize its legislation with the set EU requirements and make a step forward towards European integration.
The monograph is issued in Serbian and English and can be downloaded at this link.
