Objectives of the course

The aim of the course is to acquire general and basic knowledge about law and state, master the introductory notions and laws, as well as general and special methods, procedures and processes of research of theoretical and legal principles and institutions, adoption of basic knowledge on the application of rights and laws, as well as mastering the skills of applying the law and interpretation of legal norms.

Acquired knowledge

Training students to properly interpret and apply legal norms, as well as knowledge of the general notion of state and rights, their position and importance in society and the general relationship of legal regulations as an essential condition for the successful and proper application of legal regulations and the achievement of the objectives of the state-legal order.

Content of the subject

The concept of law; social-legal norms; legal pluralism; concept and characteristics of legal acts; sources of law; concept of legal relations and legal acts; interpretation of rights; concept of the legal system; codification of rights; analysis of the concept of the state and its organization; classification of state forms; forms of rule; forms of political order; forms of state organization; forms of state authority.

Teaching methods and material mastering

Lectures, exercises, consultations, written examinations (colloquiums) individual student work (seminar and homework, papers, etc.), as well as group participation of students in the study of certain thematic units.
